Girls Day Out!

Every year my sweet group of bestest girlfriends & I get together for our much anticipated & treasured Girls Weekend. Well, this year several of us are expecting babies & are unable to travel far distances, so we opted for a Girls Day Out instead. We still weren't able to get the entire crew together--we missed you so Sara, Katie & Steph, wasn't the same without ya!--but the majority of us were able to get together for a fun day of pampering & socializing. We started out the day with a DELICIOUS brunch where we stuffed our faces & spent lots of time talking & catching up with each others' lives. Then we did a little shopping and walking around some local shops & stores. From there we went & all treated ourselves to pedicures where we able to find some great time to sit back & relax while we all got pretty toes :) After that we had to part ways with a few ladies, but the rest of us did a little more shopping before rounding up our day. I so treasure each & every time I am able to get together with these girls. They are my long time best friends and we've been through the good, bad & ugly together. So to Ashleigh, Lauren, Emilie, Cori, Robyn, Sara, Katie & Stephanie--I love you all SO much & I am beyond blessed to have you in my lives!!!! Group Shot of the girls at Aspen for Brunch, so delicious!

Family Hike

We have been making an extra effort to do some fun family things in our last little bit of time as a family of 3 as we wait on little Evan to get here. Last week we went to a new park (new to us, not a new park in general) nearby for a morning hike before it got too hot in the day. We thought it would be a good spot and we were right, it was so GREAT! Trails & open fields everywhere, lots of beautiful green trees & grass, & even a stream running right through the middle...which Owen LOVED of course :) The canopy of trees provided great shade & kept us nice & cool to enjoy our hike. At the last minute I packed my camera & I'm so glad I did!

4th of July fun!

We had a great 4th of July celebration with our neighbors complete with BBQ ribs, all the side dishes you could possibly imagine or want, and homemade peach ice cream! Everyone brought over chairs & blankets & we dined picnic style in Sara & Richard's backyard. The kiddos played all over the yard with their outdoor toys, the fellas played ladder golf & cornhole in between being grill masters & helping wrangle the little ones, and the ladies found time to relax & socialize in between chasing kiddos and getting food ready. We ended the night with a great fireworks show put on by all the guys. It was a great Independence Day celebration & as always, we had a fantastic time with our sweet friends!

Diapers & Desserts Shower

Babies, babies, babies!!!
So so many of my friends are expectant mamas right now! It has been such a blast going through my second pregnancy journey with such amazing, sweet women, sharing & comparing and supporting each other during this sweet time of expectation. Some of my amazing neighbor friends--Cori, Brianne, Lindsey & CoCo--threw a Diapers & Dessert shower for Sara, Elisabeth & I who are all expecting our second soon. These ladies did an absolutely beautiful job & we were so honored & loved on by our sweet family & friends. I am truly grateful for all the love that was poured over Evan & myself--we are so, so blessed!!!
